Pricing
Price at real traffic volumes
Matomo has two models: Matomo Cloud, priced by monthly hits via a calculator starting at €29/month, and Matomo On-Premise, which is free to self-host with unlimited hits (you pay for servers, maintenance, and optional premium feature bundles). Servoki prices by events with fixed tiers.
| Monthly volume | Servoki | Matomo |
|---|---|---|
| ~100k | €9 (Starter, 100k events) | Cloud from €29/mo; self-hosted free + your infrastructure |
| ~1M | €29 (Growth, 1M events + Meta CAPI) | Cloud priced by calculator at this volume; self-hosted free + your infrastructure |
| ~10M | €99 (Scale, 10M events) | Cloud priced by calculator at this volume; self-hosted free + your infrastructure |
Matomo Cloud uses a hit-based pricing calculator (from €29/mo as of 2026-06-11); we couldn't quote fixed prices at higher volumes — check matomo.org for a quote. Pricing changes.
The real difference
Matomo gives you everything — if you'll run it. Servoki gives you the conversion loop, ready-made.
Matomo (formerly Piwik) is the original open-source answer to Google Analytics, and it's still the strongest option when data ownership is non-negotiable: host it yourself for free, keep every byte on your own servers, and extend it with heatmaps, session recordings and form analytics. That depth comes with operational weight — a heavier script, more configuration, and cookie-based defaults that still need a consent banner unless you reconfigure tracking to cookieless mode.
Servoki starts where Matomo's configuration project ends: cookieless and banner-free by default, a ~1.5 kB script, and the conversion plumbing — server-confirmed events with deduplication, consent logging, and hashed consent-gated forwarding to Meta's Conversions API — built in rather than assembled from plugins. If your real problem is "ads are flying blind and legal won't sign off on the tracking", that's the job Servoki is built for.
Migration is a one-line script swap (goals and custom events map directly), though Matomo-specific reports like heatmaps have no equivalent. Historical import isn't available in early access, so most teams run both trackers in parallel during the switch.
